MISSION STATEMENT

Classic Home designs and produces purposeful collections that define today’s interiors. Combining globally influenced design with integrated manufacturing and material integrity, we bring product to market with precision, consistency, and scale to shape spaces that are both elevated and enduring.

Our Beginning

Classic Home began in 1989, when Harpal Singh started selling rugs out of a van in Albuquerque, New Mexico. While studying engineering at the University of New Mexico, he realized his true passion was furniture. Leaving behind his engineering degree to pursue a career in furniture full-time, he founded the company Classic Concepts —known today as Classic Home.

Over 35 years later, he remains at the helm of Classic Home as its owner and CEO.

In the early years, the focus was simple: find products with integrity, understand how they’re made, and build lasting relationships with the people who create them and the people who live with them.

Growth came gradually, shaped by hands‑on experience across sourcing, materials, production, and scale — always guided by how clients responded to the work. As Classic Home expanded from rugs into furniture and textiles, each new category added complexity and depth, refining our understanding of construction, proportion, finish, and how products come together in a space.

About Us

Today, Classic Home operates at a global scale, with manufacturing capabilities and an assortment that competes with the largest names in the industry. What sets us apart is not only the breadth of our product, but the depth of experience behind it.

Our team continues to spend time in factories, showrooms, and markets worldwide, refining our approach through constant observation and improvement. What began as a small, hands‑on business has grown into a disciplined, informed enterprise built on craftsmanship and a clear understanding of what makes a product worth making.

Sustainability

Sustainability is integrated into every stage of our process — from sourcing and materials to production and longevity.

For more than 25 years, we’ve created tens of thousands of pieces using reclaimed architectural elements and artifacts — old doors, carved panels, and recovered windows — transforming them into functional furniture.

Our large‑scale production pieces use responsible materials including plantation‑grown wood, FSC‑certified lumber, reclaimed components, hand‑harvested natural fibers, and low‑VOC finishes. With our own wood‑processing facility, we ensure transparent sourcing and traceability.

We design with circularity in mind, creating furniture meant to last a lifetime. Natural variations, hand‑carved details, and reclaimed materials celebrate the beauty of imperfection while supporting conscious consumption.

People, Community
& Purpose

Connection is at the heart of Classic Home. We build lasting relationships with customers, partners, and artisans — rooted in trust, craftsmanship, and shared growth.

We invest in the communities we work with through responsible manufacturing and meaningful stewardship. Our textile factory and key furniture facility are Fair Trade Certified, meeting rigorous social, environmental, and economic standards. Through our give‑back program, we redistribute 1% of each factory’s revenue to support our lowest‑income workers with essential services such as groceries, education, and housing.

In 2021, we acquired Braxton Culler, a 50‑year‑old upholstery brand based in North Carolina, expanding our made‑to‑order capabilities and shortening our supply chain. In 2025, we acquired former Klaussner facilities in North Carolina and are restarting their operations in furniture manufacturing — supporting American artisans while reducing emissions.

We believe true craftsmanship is sustained by kindness — caring for our people, our partners, and the planet. This commitment allows our craft, culture, and community to endure for generations.
